Penning 2.0 @ Pictura Dordrecht
 ‘Something unusual is going in.’ PICTURA launched a call for artists to create a contemporary coin (‘penning’). Seven artists were selected to realize their proposal and will show their coins at the exhibition. I took this opportunity to produce a coin as a carrier of instructions for its temporary concealment. The work is inspired by instructions, meticulously committed to paper by Edwin Sachs in his manual ‘Sleight of Hand; A Practical Manual of Legerdemain for Amateurs and Others’. During the opening on Sunday 1 September I will read a paragraph from the manual and you can take the coin into you hand and experience how object and act are intertwined.
